My Philosophy

I believe that teachers are compassionate towards students and passionate about what we do. We use all of our time wisely, but are able to give time to a student in need. We are able to run a structured classroom, but can also be flexible with our lessons. A teacher needs to be able to communicate effectively, especially with coworkers and parents. To paraphrase Sister Clare Fitzgerald, it is not enough for teachers just to love children, teachers must also have a love of learning.

I hope to instill a love of learning in your child as well.  Through Villa Academy’s dedication to teaching the whole child, my goal is to care for your child’s academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. I hope to teach your child how to read and write, but also to encourage compassionate hearts through community service and learning to value Christ-like traits in others.

I am looking forward to working with both you and your child this school year. I know that by working together we can make this a successful and memorable year in first grade.
